Service Bulletin No. 379
This bulletin is to provide recommendations that must be followed when installing a Meyer Snow Plow on an FC-150 Model.
1. - It will be necessary to grind each end of the tie bar, installed between the front spring hanger brackets, so ends of the bar do not extend beyond the brackets more than a maximum of 1/8".
2. - The Side Plates which are furnished with the plow must be welded to the vehicle frame as indicated in the illustration below.
CAUTION UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE WELD EXTEND ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE FRAME.
In cases where welding is not practical, a bolt and nut assembly should be installed at point "A" on the illustration.
3. - If the unit is to be subjected to extremely heavy duty service, the special Underframe Reinforcing Brace (Meyer Products Part No. 9468) should also be installed as shown on the illustration.
4. - It is recommended that all FC-150 Models on which a plow is to be installed be equipped with heavy duty springs.
