I just purchased this truck from Curtis Stidham of Palmdale, CA. (Curtis had sent a previous picture of this truck with a custom made camper in place of pick up bed.)

Curtis' Dad, James Stidham, purchased this truck new in 1964 and owned it until his passing in March 2002. It spent all of its 'life' in Southern California, primarily in the high desert area of Palmdale and Mojave, CA. After being a standard pickup, it became the camper for the Stidham family, with lots of good family memories. It's last version is the flat bed as shown now, that even had a custom made derrick for removing well pumps on the family property. It was last registered for street use in 1986. It had a new 226 engine in 1972, (probably when the camper was put on) that the receipt says cost $525.00. The FC now has 91,660 miles on the odometer.

After looking for a Southern California FC 170 for more than a year, I feel grateful to have ended up with this one. Now to the evaluation, and budgeting, for the truck's 'next chapter'.
