48" TREAD FC-150

NAME STATE YEAR SERIAL NUMBER OTHER
Jeff Accola 1958 65548-15542 I was looking for another old scout to plow snow and play with and stumbled across this great old fc 150.
James Aduskevich NM 1957 65548-11812 t is pretty solid with no rust since it looks like it has always been in New Mexico. The previous owner started to do some kind engine swap, the motor mounts and fan shaft had been torched off, and I found some strange home made chevy V-8 headers in the back. I replaced almost everything with original parts from a '58 FC-150 my father had. The only exception was the motor, that I found at a tag sale. It was a military surplus type F head, even painted olive drab. It had been sitting on a pallet in the lady's garage for decades, but ran like a champ when I finally got it started. My wife bought me a set of 5 military lug tires on Jeep rims for my birthday, and with a little elbow grease its now on the road.
Andler IL 1958 65548-15808 My Father-in-law ran a 1958 FC150 on the family farm in western Illinois. It sat for several years until he gave it to me to rebuild. Currently the cab is at the "HotRodBarn" in Senica, IL. being rebuilt, much needed body work through out. The frame has been sand blasted and is waiting for some welding to be done.
Mark Andros 1957 65548-1XXXX purchased from a rancher in the San Luis Obisbo back in 1980. The truck and camper are painted lifeguard yellow and on the doors it had the name Muller Jordan Mines. If anybody out in internetland has any history on my FC, I welome any response.
Ray Arnold WA 1959(?) 65548-1XXXX Need Info about this truck. I don't want to mess up a rare truck if I can help it. I just bought it for my 13 year old son to fix up HELP. (Ray says this is a 1959 with a 48" tread.)
Ron Bliesner 1957 65548-11986 Partially restored by previous owner. Has newly rebuilt 221 cid Ford V-8. Body in good shape.
John Blummer PA 1958 65548-13415 I happened onto this FC-150 for sale on Ebay and was the successful bidder. I trailered it home to Philadelphia from Milan, Ohio. It has a stainless steel gas tank, a decent bed, tailgate and rear fenders. I can't say much for the cab. While it has no dents, it sure has rust! The doors are really poor and the floor is gone. However I have hope! I removed the cab from the frame and opened up the engine, it was stuck. I cleaned out the cylinders, removed all of the carbon deposits, installed new plugs, points, and ignition coil. I cranked it over, manually closed the choke and that thing fired right up! So now I am in the process of cleaning up the frame, which has a couple of problems due to a poorly maintained snow plow installation. I am now looking for doors. I will install a new floor which I will fabricate using stainless. Unless I find an affordable cab with doors. Anyway for the record, This is an originally titled in 1958 FC-150, sn 65548-13415 (which I guess, means it was built in 57, and sat on the lot), the title I have is dated 1980 and indicates 37,100 miles. The odometer now reads 76,000 miles. Judging by what I did see inside the motor I believe that this mileage is accurate. The person I purchased it from used it for farm use since he purchased the truck in 1980.

Bill Brumm MI 1957 65548-10459
Bill Brumm MI 1957 65548-14638 I bought it last year in St. Johnsville NY where it had been used for years as a plow truck. Plow looks to be original jeep product but I'm not positive. I'm in the process of restoring the cab and drive line. It has no box but it does have a large counter weight mounted between the frame rails in the back which also seems to be original Jeep product.
Russ Burns OR 1958 65548-11483 Red and White. In pieces but all there. Engine has been rebuilt. Lots of spare parts. One day it will live again!

Peter J. Cinotto PA 1958 65548-15771 One day while visiting my Grandmother back in Illinois, we noticed a 1958 FC-150 sticking its nose out of an abandoned barn. Fortunately, my Grandmother knew everybody for miles and the owners of the farm happened to be distant relatives. $300 dollars and a day of work later the jeep was in my Grandmothers barn. I'm towing it to Pennsylvania this summer to begin restoration. Initially it will be a "get it running and preserve it" restoration. At this point all I really know about it is that it's complete and has light to moderate rust issues (I was pressed for time when we recovered it and couldn't play much, but this is my 5th classic Jeep and I'd give it a 5 or 6 on a 1-10 scale).
Bill Cobb 1958 65548-14506 I have an FC150 nearing completion. Just found a rust free bed but need rear fenders. I have made a few updates but it is basically stock. Front mounted Ramsey winch is almost ready to mount. This was a low mileage shop truck from a local mechanic.

Aurelio Gallegos VT 1957 65548-10983 I first saw an FC-150 in the early 60s and in 1992 paid $500 for one at the junk yard in Hardwick, Vermont. There were 4 of them there and I picked the one with the best front window. I have decided to start the restoration this year. Can you tell me how to find the year. I have the serial number chart but don't know where to find the s/n. Hopefully it is on the engine because I can't find it on the body. Thanks for your help. Aurelio Gallegos, Plainfield, VT

Greg Grooms OH 1957 65548-14939 This FC-150 has about 27,000 miles on it. I Bought it about 5 years ago from the city of Yellow Springs, Ohio. It was in their fleet of maintenance vehicles. It came equipped with a welder on the back. The city bought the FC in 1964 and kept it in service until 1996. I drive quite often and have made it more user friendly with the addition of a warn overdrive.

George Hubert MI 1957 65548-13735 This truck was purchased from ebay in Texas and delivered to me here in Parma, Mi. The mechanical condition is fine and the body real good. I had one of these new in 1957 and would like to restore this one. Mine was red and white and this is green. I would like to hope that somene can furnish me with a color code for the original red.
Jim Johnson PA 1957 65548-14898 The truck is titled as a 1956 and I can see from your site that this is a mistake made in Harrisburg Pa. This truck has a tow truck setup with the name "Towboy" on the plate. It is in rough shape, but restorabe. I plan to restore it and keep it as a pet.
Steve K CA 1957 65548-10141 Runs excellent, 40,000 original miles. We painted it Navy Grey and it is drivable! We bought it from a guy out here in the Mojave Desert. He had it about 30 years, it had 1500 miles when he bought it.

Mr. Bill Kriegbaum UT 1957 65548-12655 It is pretty well stock, except a Warn overdrive. I have had it about 15 years. Have painted it a couple times and have Rhino coated the bed and the complete inside of the cab. The coating in the cab eliminates the rattles and the rust issues, and it really makes it look nice. I drive it regularly around town and for hauling stuff for the home.

Kevin Banonis WI 1959 65548-19448 Has original Meyers Electro-Lift Snowplow. This FC was originally maintenance vehicle #11 in fleet for Goss Printing Co, Cicero, IL. Judging from the documentation, I believe it was retired from their service in 1976. Last licensing was in 1982. I purchased it from the 3rd owner and have put it back "on the streets." Plans are to restore it gradually while driving it.

I have wanted one of these since I was a kid. I was about 6 years old when these were introduced by Willys. Now I am like a little kid again - with a new Big Wheel. What bliss!!

Kevin Banonis WI 1959 65548-XXXXX Was just looking for a good replacement bed but got a great deal on the whole truck so hauled it all home. Hate to take these things out of commission but this one is a bit far gone to save. Will dismantle for spare parts after I remove the bed.

Terry Dolan (Tim's brother) FL 1958 65548-18673 I had the entire FC sandblasted, and kept the cab on. Replaced the rear drive shaft due to it being bent. Replaced all brakes, wheel cylinders, master brake cylinder, and all brake lines. New shocks, repaired gas tank with POR 15 (great stuff) then had the tank coated at LINE X and it looks awesome. Added new Solex carburetor and a new dual vacuum fuel pump. Repaired the radiator surge tank. Obtained a new back window, not yet installed, found front corners (used but in great shape) . It is getting there! This has a stake bed on it. Still looking for parts and hoping to have body work done soon.
Tim Dolan (Terry's brother) WI 1962 65548-25073 Good original runner. I restored the pickup box and am working on the cab.
Terry Dow NY 1960 65548-21903 This truck came out east from colorado. This is the one that started my FC disease. This particular truck is an ongoing project. Currently it sits on Scout II axles [4.10 gears] 33 -12.50-15 Mickey Thompson FC II radials on 15x10 Eagle Alloy wheels. It has a 1995 chevy LT -1 350 with a turbo 400 and dana 20 transfer case. Steering is a GM Saginaw box pirated from a full size Chevy van. This truck has a factory ramsey pto winch that was removed from an FC-170, pto is a Dana 20 that I had laying around [NOS]. Body and paint work are the biggest concern at this time. I have had three differnt cabs on this truck, but hopefully I am satisfied with the current one. Will provide pictures in the near future
Charlie Dundas FL 1959 65548-XXXXX Same owner for 40 years. Almost rust-free original. I have added a Warn Overdrive and alloy wheels/touring tires & newer 11" brakes. It also has an alternator & electric fan. I hope to retro fit a dual master brake cylinder. I am "looking" for a FC 170 DRW also.

James D. Garrett CO 1962 65548-24297 Green w/ white top. Daily (make that monthly) driver. Acquired in 1973 from a forester in Ft Collins, CO. Supposedly came from Texas. Had less than 30m when I bought it. Probably has over 50m now. Cable broke. Someone chewed an ugly hole in the dash for a radio and dash does not have the "skirt" or "pan" around the bottom edge. Not original bumpers. Interior gone. Bolt to hold spare tire gone. Winshield cracked. Does not have "splash pan" in front. Otherwise solid.

Tim Graves 1961 65548-21704 This truck was was purchased by my grandfather ...new in 1962 for $3200. I am looking forward to getting busy working on it!!
Sean Green Alberta 1959 65548-20240 A kind of metallic green colour that looks original(Not seen any others on the net in metallic colours.). There's nothing special about it, but I'm really impressed how the steel has stood the test of time. It doesn't need any welding at all. It does however need a brake overhaul and the engine has seized as it's been stood since '73 as far as we can tell! Hopefully I can find some other owners near me (Medicine Hat, Alberta). I've been in touch with Rob from Edmonton, who I found at the bottom of the registry page and he's gonna lend me his workshop manual, and I've already found that our local NAPA parts store can get most of the parts I need, in fact today I picked up a whole set of brake shoes, cylinders and hoses from stock, even they were surprised that they stocked parts for a vehicle that old! I'll send some pics when I get round to taking some, thanks, Sean.
Donald Griffin 1964 65548-2599X I don't know much about Jeeps so I have a lot to learn. The little truck is 99% there. I've had the head rebuilt, the brakes done, and a tune up. So far it runs and drives great. But what can I do to get it over 45?

Bruce Hamilton MA 1958 65548-18365 Initially purchased 9/6/1958 per title. Then it belonged to a "Wayne Heggen" of Boulder, CO in1974. Transferred to David Connelly of Lyons, CO in 1978. He replaced the F-134 with an odd fire Buick V6 with a single barrel carb. Mr. Connelly drove the FC To Southern NJ in 1979 pulling a travel trailer and there it sat until I purchased it this month and trailored it to MA. It is well rusted but all there. Mr. Connelly added a dual radiator setup and an electric pull fan to keep the rig cool. As far as equipment it has large cast iron weight attached to the frame at the rear. Apparently original equipment because it is cast in such a way as to allow for the draw bar braces. It also has the hand brake that runs off the rear drums rather than a single drum at the rear of the transfer case. The tires are huge 8:65 X 15 snows with rusted American Mags. My plan is to get it running and stopping! It hasn't done anything like that in twenty years.
Bruce Hamilton MA 1960 65548-22026 I just bought another FC-150 tonight. My family just doesn't understand! This one runs and stops! Also has a wrecker boom and electric winch and a plow. Needs plenty of restoration but at least this one can earn its keep in the mean time.
Frank G. Hathaway 1960 65548-21757
Joel Hathon 1962 65548-XXXXX It has a snow plow and wood flatbed. The truck came from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where its original owner used it to plow the parking lot of a bar for 25 years. It does not run. The person I purchased it from said that the engine "seized". I would appreciate any and all information that is available as I plan to restore it.
Don Haynes CO 1959 65548-19704 Frame off restoration. Mechanically & cosmetically all restored to original like new condition. Car show "best in class" trophy winner.

Larry Heck KY 1963 65548-20696 I just acquired this truck July 2003, and its in great shape given its age.
Gary Hershberger TX 1959 65548-18592 Just purchased. Parked for 8 years. Started right up. Has only minor rust, no brakes. I plan on keeping the F-head 4 banger in it and just paint it and make it a daily driver.
Doug Hill MN 1964 65548-25658 Just purchased. Stored in neighbor's garage since 1965. Body solid and interior like new. Only 440 miles on the odometer.

James Kramer MI 1962 65548-24380 It has been fitted with a small block Chevy engine and transmission. The original box is gone and it has been fitted with a homemade one. I would like to at least restore the body to original, if not the whole truck. This truck also has the drw rear axle.

Ed London IL 1960 65548-20732 I am the 3rd owner and the Jeep has only 43k miles. But the down side: It has been in the weather for the last 20 years. I am wanting to restore it but I am not sure of the rules as to how to do it. Right now I am starting slow. The odd thing is its a positive ground electrical system.
Chuck Mack CO 1960 65548- I have a 1960 FC 150 in mint condition, with 14,000 actual miles. It still has all five of the original "Firestone Town & Country" tires. I bought the Jeep from an old friend of mine, who had bought the Jeep new. The Jeep had 11,000 miles when I bought it about 15 years ago. Just thought I'd let you know there is at least one un-restored like new FC 150 Jeep in existence. I'll bet there aren't many as nice as mine! I'm wondering what a Jeep like mine is worth?
Richard Mead TX 1959 65548-21467 Registered in Arizona as 1961. Has hydraulic post hole digger on back...engine replaced with Buick V8..not running Need to get it home....wife has yet to see this.
Mark Meier KS 1959 65548-20560 I picked it up for $100. It's missing the engine, and some glass. The body is pretty rusty, but I hope to be able to repair it. I want to keep it pretty much stock and pretty much just take it to car shows and parades, and maybe even do a little 4 wheeling. I know I will need a lot of help with it along this long hard ride. So anybody near Kansas; get in touch with me and we can talk Jeeps or work on Jeeps. My wife really hates the FC but put several in the driveway and she may change her mind.
Don Michal IL 1960 65548-20736 Frame-up restoration completed in 1998. Re-painted in original "President Red" with white trim. New upholstery, trim, etc. A Beauty!
James Minear CA 1959 65548-20077 Looks mostly stock but found recipt for a replacment engine the past owner had installed. Not sure what it is yet. Needs some body work on cab and paint. Needs fuel pump and exhaust but runs. Don't know about transmission and transfer case but look original.
Taylor Mudge 1960(?) 65548-22013 Just purchased this FC at beginning of year in Cambridge, Maine. Will move it home when weather gets a tad warmer. The truck is whole and runs pretty well. Has Fisher plow. Looking for rear fenders. Interested in owner's manual (even a Xerox copy) or parts manual. Drove an FC in 1958 and have remained intrigued ever since. Finally bought one. This one will keep me off the streets for a while.
Larry Munther NJ 1962, 1962, 1963 65548-XXXXX These FCs get are set-up for turf spraying with booms out front and a PTO driven pump. They get used just about every day from April to November. They get pretty beat up so I'm always patching something. I have not found a better vehicle suited for my work than the FC-150 and they have become my trademark.
Shane Muste AZ 1958 65548-XXXXX Bought in Oregon. Never repainted and very little rust.
Shane Muste AZ 1959 65548-XXXXX It's green/white. No rust and never been repainted. It's very straight except bed bottom & upper rails. It has a Buick V6,& turbo 350 AT. It has 4 wheel disc brakes. I plan to install a small block V8. I want to tilt the cab and bed. I could use info on accomplishing this.

Ken Pick 19XX 65548-XXXXX I'm currently in the rebuild process of an fc-150 and can't decide on the motor to use. I have an F-head 4 and also a Buick V-6. I am curious about the performance with the std. motor. I want to use the truck as a daily driver in the winter and my 48 cj2a in the summer.
Sid Polk VA 1960 65548-22748 I am in the process of restoring this fine mechanical piece of equipment and hope to have it on the road soon. It has the original 4 cylinder engine, which runs beautifully.

Duaine Reynolds VA 1960 65548-22621 It was an old Prison Farm truck with a cage mounted on the back for hauling inmates and a bush-hog was ran from the PTO. There are 2 steel benches over the wheel wells for the inmates to sit on. It has 75,000 actual miles on it and in 1968 my dad sank it in a pond driving on the ice. It is in need of restoring.

Karl Russell WA 19XX 65548-25986 It is a widetrack model. I paid more than I wanted, but check out how nice and solid the truck is complete with a very rare T-98 4-speed.
Gary W. Saunders CT 1958 65548-12966 Very modified with 4.3L Chevy V-6, T90, dual rear wheels, beautiful custom dump body with welded steel saddle fuel tank and tool box. Dual exhaust stacks with flappers are a neat touch. I use it for plowing, and dump runs.

Joe Weston ME 19XX 65548-XXXXX I purchased an FC-150 in Fairfield, Maine. The owner was using the Jeep to keep his home plowed out. I have no serial number. Can the engine serial number help to identify the year of the truck? Engine Number is 4J308599. I can say by the style of the hump and the shifter for the transfer case that it is the later style. It is the wide wheel bases. Are there any frame serial numbers? How about the body - are any dimensions available to copy so as to rebuild the body with new steel? The original one on mine is gone and a wooden one was assembled out of several out houses I would guess. Thanks.

Paul Skoog IL 19XX 65548-XXXXX It is in pretty rough shape. I think that it is complete but I am not sure that it is salvageable. Can you tell me if the cab from a FC 170 will fit on a FC 150? The man that I got the truck from is looking for some minor things he thought he had laying around for the truck (one of them being the title!!) I was trying to find the vin number to determine what year the truck is. Can you tell me where it is located?
