| NAME | STATE | YEAR | SERIAL NUMBER | OTHER |
| Bob Adams | AK | 1961 | 61568-19861 | (Purchased from Brian Anderson) Standard cab, 3-speed trans, 9-leaf rear springs, 4:88 ratio, pickup bed, originally a dry chemical fire truck (Ansul s/n 520) |
| Brian Anderson | AK | 1964 | 61568-23886 | Deluxe Cab. 3-speed trans. 9-leaf rear springs. Powr-Lok front and rear, 4:27 ratio, flatbed (now), undergoing frame off restoration. |
| Steve Andrews | 1959 | 61568-15615 | Awaiting restoration | |
| Steve Andrews | 1960 | 61568-18805 | I use this for everyday use | |
| Don Arnold | 1959 | 61568-16078 | (Purchased from Russ Gevarter) It has a Chevy 283 and 3-speed manual trans. It is in running condition, but the brakes take 3 or 4 pumps to grab, and then they don't let go. I think I need to bleed the lines. Is that tube on the dash the brake fluid filler? The windshield is perfect, but the doors, behind the door and rear window glass are cracked. | |

| Tom Bassett | MA | 1960 | 61568-18145 | It is in need of much work, but I love it. I am a collector of Kaiser & Kaiser Darrin cars and the FC-170 having been designed and built by Kaiser will fit nicely into my collection. It will however be used for plowing and work around my shop. It is amazing how many parts are the same as the Kaiser cars. |
| Tom Bassett | MA | 1961 | 61568-21091 | |
| Robert Bates | 1961 | 61568-18771 | Frame shortened to an 87" wheel base. Still has a 6' Custom bed. The rear bumper is a 6' section of rail road track. It has a 302 Ford motor with a Ford C4 auto, Spicer 18 transfer case with a Saturn overdrive, power steering, power disc brakes and Dana 44's front and rear. It uses cables instead of the original bars to shift transfer & overdrive (better shifting and much easer to route). It also has dual batteries and a 100 amp alternator. The interior is sprayed with Line X and has Honda Accord seats. | |
| Vaughn Becker | Queensland, Australia | 1964 | 9309-24048 | Just purchased. A twin to my other FC-170 and also delivered to the Australian Air Force. Appears to have been used for fire fighting purposes. |
| Vaughn Becker | Queensland, Australia | 1964 | 9309-24049 | Engine No FW6L-25492P Came over in CKD form from USA and was assembled in Brisbane and delivered to Australia Air Force on I July 1964. Was used as a mobile fuel pumper. Purchased in very poor state by me in 1992 and restored to original. Only option fitted is PTO. |
| Stephen Belcher | OH | 1960 | 61568-13221 | The body is pretty rough but supposedly it ran when it was parked. It was given to me free. Can't beat that. My son and I had a great day towing it over 60 miles with our own makeshift hitch. I guess now I have a collection. |
| Stephen Belcher | OH | 1961 | 61568-XXXXX | Just thought I'd search FC-170 and found you. My first vehicle was a Green 1961 FC-170. I bought it [I think] in 1975. I still have it. It's up in the barn. It needs a lot of work and I plan to do that some day. I have had a lot of offers but I refuse to sell. Drives my wife crazy. I will send for your newsletter but in the mean time I thought I'd drop you a line and let you know another classic has surfaced in Croton Ohio. |
| Doug Benjamin | 1962 | 61568-21873 | Purchased from James Spencer. Has 10' by 6' flatbed. Needs a lot of work but it is a pretty good truck all in all. I was going to rebuild the 226 but discovered that there isn't much you can do to up the performance other than adding a supercharger. After doing some research I think I will build a mildly upgraded Buick V6. Nothing too radical because I want to use it as a daily driver/work truck. | |

PVC valve (p/n 937665), deluxe cab, homemade 10ft X 6ft bed. Red, white top. Blue seats. Blue and white door panels. |

| Terry Dow | NY | 1959 | 61568-15379 | This truck lived most all of its life as a working camp vehicle. It is equipped with a Jayhawk Junior dump (Wyatt manufacturing Co.) with original style willys bed, factory 4 speed transmission, pto that drives off the 4 speed, and has a Western V-plow. Mileage is 39,000. This truck was a work horse and needs plenty of attention but none the less runs great and is a unique vehicle in it's own right; a very handy addition to my FC fleet. |
| Terry Dow | NY | 1960 | 61568-XXXXX | This truck is currently being put back together as a plow / wrecker unit. It had its frame cut down to a wheel base of 81 inches by a previous owner so it could be used as a log skidder. It came with powr-loc differentials, front and rear. The upper cab was cut away and had a homemade stake rack mounted in place of the original bed, apparently it was a monster in the woods. I am currently rebuilding another cab to put back on it and have a wrecker body from a parts 170 that will be modified to mount on the shortened chassis. With a wrecker boom and an original plow it will become a useful rig to have around while looking pretty cool. |
| Jeff Esterline | OH | 1959 | 61568-15929 | We owned this one about 20 years ago. We built a dump bed for it then and used it as a firewood hauler. Now that we have it back I am looking to put a snow plow on it. |
| Tomm Furch | MT | 1957 | 61568-12549 | I paid a mere $650 for this FC-170 that has no rust, dents, or even broken glass!! It is intact complete with "like new" tailgate that still has Jeep stencils visible! How's that for a deal??!! |
| Tomm Furch | MT | 1958 | 61568-14358 | Purchased last Fall for $250. It has a flatbed and is, frankly, in pretty rough, but salvageable, shape. |
| Bubba Gaffney | OH | 1961 | 61568-19992 | With mount for plow. Has wrecker unit. Just traded for this unit-need parts to restore the cab-any help to locate source for panels greatly appreciated. |
| John Gehring | KS | 1963 | 61568-XXXXX | Just got it and am looking for more information on it, Please email me if you have any. Besides that, I know that it is all stock except the home made bed on it. |
| Timothy Gene | IN | 1959 | 61568-15851 | Optional dump bed and customized by rust. I also recently purchased a Cerlist diesel engine w/out starter: S/N 3000544, date of manufacture 2/16/68. The navweps 19-25-128 service manual shows a 2-bolt starter drive housing and v-belts but mine is 3-bolt and serpentine type belts. I'm interested in information on Cerlist engines, parts and an m-67X truck to purchase. |
| David Gissen | NV | 1959 | 61568-XXXXX | Chassis is now done with engine in place. Used a Chevy straight 6. Wiring is done, dash finished. Substituted an electric wiper motor out of the rear of a Dodge Caravan (1988). It required some machining and welding but not bad -- happy to share info to anyone interested. (got for $10 from a junk yard). Used a remote brake fluid res. out of a Mitubishi pickup and mounted it to the right of the dash. |
| Abilio Gonzalez | Venezuela | 1959 | 61568-XXXXX | Thanks for your helpful page. I will be using it more and more as I work to make it operational. |

| Thomas Gordon | TX | 1958 | 61568-12250 | |
| Kevin Goucher | MO | 19XX | 61568-14550 | Good shape with a V-8 and 3-speed. It was used to haul a tractor from Clinton, MO. My friend from Clinton bought it and fixed it up. His wife told him to get it out so I got it for free. It needed a lot more work and I just shelled out $680.00 fro brake parts. Boy does JEEP stand for its name: Just Empty Every Pocket. Its not the fastest thing on the road but the most unusual thing the people of Warsaw, MO have seen. People come to my workplace trying to find out what it is. Hell, I even had people trying to steal it when it was left over night to get the tires changed. Never again, Man; did they mess up. My son has more fun in it than I do and he's only four. It's a red and white flat-bed with a rack. I use it to haul wood in the winter. I live in what's called God's Ditch. It's a hole but has a view of the lake. Every year the lake goes down and the flats are muddyand lots of fun. I'm not hard on it and take it out when the flats are dry. I have another 4WD to take out and tear up and use to help others when they get stuck. Not me. "Been there, done that." It sucks. One thing that is unusual is the placement of the air cleaner behind the driver's seat; never gets dirty. |
| Andy Grussendorf | MN | 1959 | 61568-XXXXX | In the process of restoring it |
| Bruce Hamilton | MA | 19XX | 61568-XXXXX | Just got it home |
| Otis Haney | FL | 1964 | 61568-23519 | The truck only has 27K original miles on it. It runs great but needs some body work for minor rust. |
| Bob Hansberger | AZ | 1962 | 61568-21047 | Late last year I bought a FC170 that lived her whole life until the fall of 2002 in Redding California. She now lives in Phoenix, Arizona with me. She loves the attention she draws when out an about. Though she is not totally original (Her power plant is a Chevy 350 with T-400 tranny) she is a great pleasure to ride in any where. |

| Jeff Herzog | CA | 1964 | 61568-24562 | Purchased from Dan Kuzawa. Red, deluxe cab, stepside, 3 spd., dana 20 transfer case, 15" wheels (5) and diamond plate wrap around rear bumper w/matching running boards. Body is straight and it has some rust in the front floor of the bed. It also has a brake booster behind the seat and amber turn signal lenses. It has been also parked and last started 3 years ago. It shows 2,493 on the odometer. and I don't know if it is working. Not any wear on the peddles door hinges aren't worn, and steering box is very tight, however, the idler or pivot arm on the frame has bushing wear. |

| Ray Horsley | TN | 1964 | 61568-XXXXX | I've had a '64 FC-170 since '84. It has served me well. However if I continue to try to use it, I need to put an engine in it that can be comfortable at 65 mph. The old 226 is still doing well , but 55 mph is a strain, I feel like a hazzard on anything but a backroad. |

| Lang Kidby | Queensland, Australia | 1965 | 9309-24439 | I have 2 FC-170. One fully restored and the other good restorer. Most FC-170 in Australia were Air Force tarmac fuel pumpers with power take-off, filters etc for underground fuel to aircraft operations. As far as I know there were no FC-150s in Australia but I do recall seeing a dual-wheel FC-170 once back in the 60's. Both my vehicles were fairly rare civilian and one has the original stake sides which is a bonus as Australian farmers use flat-tops almost exclusively. My only modification is a TORO overdrive which makes it really nice on the highway. The vehicle has both WILLYS and KAISER plates in the cab beside the right seat. Right hand drive was done at the factory here in Australia or before shipment from USA???The terrible gearshift linkages have been replaced by a really simple rod directly to a top loader on the gearbox instead of the side shift arrangement. Nearly had a divorce twice in the bush with my wife straddling the engine bay with a rope over her shoulders supporting the transmission as I pulled it out to get at the gears with a screwdriver to unlock it when two gears were selected simultaneously. |
| Don Kohn | PA | 1959 | 61568-17462 | Single Rear wheel. Deluxe cab. Stake body, 3-speed transmission, winch via power take-off. Believed to be a former Reading Railroad truck. |
| Michael Kolb | OR | 1965 | 9309-24210 | I purchased this red 1965 FC170 from a farmer in Amity, OR. The vehicle is in pretty good shape (no body damage, fresh paint, runs OK) but everything "feels loose"... Be that as it may, the truck is a 3-speed, 6-cyl with front PTO winch. |
| Zachary Kudlak | RI | 1957 | 61568-XXXXX | All original engine and drivetrain. Heavy duty rear helper springs. It has the standard cab without windows behind the doors. |
| Frank Latini | MD | 1962 | 61568-21367 | Factory Willys AM radio mounted in the center of the dash with one speaker on the passenger side kick panel. The radio manual was in the glove box. The truck was also equipped with a four way emergency flasher with the control knob installed on the lower far left side of the dash. As soon as you open the driver door you can view the red control knob. This truck also had the dealer installed 9-foot Meyer snow plow and wrap around rear bumper. I can say after owning many of these, I have never before seen the radio or the emergency flasher set up. My father had purchased many of these new for his paving and excavation business from 1958 -1962 . |

The man that owned it had started to totally rebuild the truck (engine had only 15 minutes run time on it) New paint etc ! Illness stopped him before he was able to finish the rebuild. For all these years he would not sell it until he decided that he would never be able to finish it (He told me that his family wanted him to sell all his toys before he checked out ) With the truck I also got many pallets of spare assemblies and parts. The truck is in very good condition only needs the finishing touch which I will do. Many people have asked me if I would consider selling it and my answer is NO ! | |

New fuel pump and some TLC and it fired right up. Smokes a bit but sound great. I've only put about 10 miles on it and it smokes less everytime. | Carl Stender | MI | 1958 | 61568-12126 | Runs and drives great. Starts better than my new truck. Has 31.5" x 10.5" BFG Mud Terrains. Everything seems to be original as near as I can tell, however it did have some minor surgery on the bed and was totally repainted. Would like info on V-8 swap although I have no intentions of changing this FC. This truck was sold about seven years ago from a fire station in Arizona. Any info regarding who may have worked on this truck would be GREATLY appreciated. |
| Don Stevens | WA | 1963 | 61568-23776 | Government tag says delivered 1962 to the U.S. Forest Service. Truck was a pickup originally. I put a 10 foot flatbed with oak sides on it and a hydraulic bed hoist so it is a small dump truck. I replaced the flathead six with a Chevy 327 and the T-98 4-speed with a Turbo 350 automatic. It has 5.38:1 axles, rebuilt 9-leaf springs, Chevy seats and a PTO winch mounted in a homebuilt bumper. |

| Mark Stranahan | MI | 1958 | 61568-10353 | The body is rather intact but in need of paint, and the mechanicals are good. The truck has apparently only gone about 35,000 miles. I had planned on using it as a driver and working on it gradually to keep it mechanically sound, but a combination of the body being so fundamentally good and a couple of mechanical problems are leading me to think it should be more completely rebuilt now. |

| Bill Hiort | IL | 19XX | 61568-13-10623 | This truck Has an 8000#GVW. I got the service manual with the truck, but the manual indicates that the -13 in the serial number indicates dual rear wheels (DRW). This truck has single rear wheels. It has a front mounted pump, and looks very much like the fire truck on the web page. It has a large beacon on the roof, and the siren/light is mounted on a bracket at the left corner of the windshield. This fire truck was purchased new by the Wilmot, Wisconsin Volunteer Fire Department, and eventually sold to a local ski area, where it tied up garage space for years. |

| Patrick Mauck | UT | 1964 | 61568-13-10984 | Does not run. I plan on getting it road worthy, enjoy driving it around for a few years, and then (when I have lots of money) doing a complete restoration. It currently has a 6 cyl. chevy engine. The serial # indicates a three speed, but it has a 4 speed, so I assume that was changed at some point (probably when the engine was replaced). UPDATE JAN 2004: My DRW (61568-13-10984) has been running and licenced since July 2003! I have been doing exactly what I said I was going to do..."enjoy driving it around". It is so much fun! I have no short term plans to restore it as I have other projects, and besides I like it just the way it is! |
