I have been a happy FC owner for a dozen years.

Over the Winter, I have been fixing the Little Jeep's body and a bunch of little mechanical things. It is about to the point where it can drive around normally without scaring people. People are interested now, actually. The quickie paint job (as part of the "buying new tires" project) has really helped. The last big mechanical problem attended to has been the cooling system. I have just gotten the radiator re-cored (remade), and made improvements on the cooling air flow (it's time for a test-cruise today!!). The Little Jeep is a mid-engined vehicle: like Porshe, Maserati, Ferrarri, the MR2, etc. It also drive like one of those little old Ford vans from the sixties. ;-)

This picture is typical of how it has looked for the ten years that I have owned it. That turquoise paint is reeeeely oxidized and there are boo boos everywhere. Dead tires. Funky barnwood flatbed. I fixed most of the big mechanical things before my bad car accident, but then it was in storage while we lived in Kansas. This picture is from last year, after lots of mechanical fixin', so it is not as scary as it looks.

Ahhhh. This picture shows the Little Jeep proud for the first time in a couple decades. I kept the basic cream white on top mediteranean/turquoise on bottom color scheme... ....It all started with the tires. I had to get decent tires for it before winter started. But then, while the metal rims were bare it was a good time to clean & paint them. But the new tires and rims would look funny on that crummy cab unless I at least did basic rust control, so I did that, fixing many, many bad spots, leaving some, and painting everything I could. So here it is, slightly shiny, in good color, with the bed refinished, and nice seats from a Toyota truck.
